Embattled British industrialist Sanjeev Gupta has stepped up cost-cutting at his iron ore mining operations near the loss-making Whyalla steelworks.
Mr Gupta’s GFG Alliance and its SIMEC Mining division have signalled to investors that it will bring mining work in-house at one of the mines, about 50km south-west of Whyalla.
