Sanjeev Gupta aims for carbon neutral steel in big restructure

British billionaire Sanjeev Gupta has set set a 2030 deadline for making his his global steel interests carbon neutral and is restructuring them into a single consolidated entity under the umbrella of the Liberty Steel Group.

The company will have annual revenues of more than $15 billion and include the Whyalla steelworks and associated mining operations in South Australia which he bought as part of the rescue of the collapsed Arrium operations in 2017.
