MilkLab owner says legal claims may crush it

Noumi, the manufacturer of MilkLab and other plant-based and dairy products formerly known as Freedom Foods, has warned investors it may struggle to cover its debts if it misses key performance targets or fails to defend class actions.

A day after the corporate regulator launched legal action against Freedom Foods and two of its former executives, the ASX-listed group reported a 5.5 per cent jump in first-half revenue – excluding divisions it has sold as part of its restructure – to $279.8 million, and a loss of $23.6 million.
