Lululemon returns for bigger bet on recycled leggings start-up

North American leisurewear giant Lululemon has lifted its stake in Australian clothing recycler Samsara Eco, participating in a $100 million capital raising that has enticed new investors.

Samsara Eco uses plastic-eating enzymes to break down apparel waste into raw materials able to be applied in existing manufacturing processes for making new garments. The company, established in 2020, earmarked a chunk of the new funds to build a large-scale commercial manufacturing plant in South-East Asia.
