James Hardie’s new director in restart after $1b Bunnings disaster

Building products group James Hardie says it will appoint a new chief executive within the next 30 days to end a marathon process to find a successor to former boss Jack Truong, who was forced to step down in January following an investigation into claims of bullying.

The company has also reshuffled its boardroom, announcing that Anne Lloyd will become chairwoman by November and that former chief operating officer of the Bunnings hardware chain, PJ Davis, will join the board as a non-executive director.
