Lifting solutions and crane rental firm Boom Logistics has pointed to improved trading conditions in explaining a spike in its share price.

The Melbourne-based company, the subject of a $240 million takeover bid from private equity group Archer Capital earlier this year, received a query from the Australian Securities Exchange after the stock shot from 41¢ on October 13 to 54.5¢ on Tuesday.
