Boeing wants to double in size, and Australia is central to its plan

American aircraft manufacturer Boeing expects a significant expansion of its advanced manufacturing facilities in Australia on the back of increased demand from the defence forces and a boom in demand for passenger aircraft in the Asia Pacific.

Sir Michael Arthur, president of Boeing International, told AFR Weekend during a trip to Sydney this week that Boeing Australia remained on the same growth trajectory that saw the company double in size over the past five years.
