New capital raisings were scant on Monday, as companies including Orpheus Energy, Minerals Deposits and Carpathian Resources updated shareholders on previously announced deals.

■ Carpathian Resources received $125,000 for the issue of 10 million shares at 1.25¢ each from Somap International, a Singapore-based company. Carpathian said it would complete the second tranche of the placement, worth $362,500, this week. A third tranche, worth up to $2,512,500, requires shareholder approval.
