LICs see chance to buy value stocks
The directors of listed investment firms AMCIL and WAM Active have noted an improvement in buying opportunities, a bright side to recent market falls stemming from global debt concerns.
Listed investment companies are seeing more opportunities to buy stocks at discounted valuations as the market lingers around 4400 index points due to concerns about a double-dip recession.
Many LICs have also called the end to the dividend-cutting cycle, but do not expect any rapid improvement in payouts.
