Ventia Services struggles to find cleaning and catering staff

Ventia Services chief executive Dean Banks says the group is struggling to find people for cleaning and catering jobs as it delivered a big jump in net profit in its first full year of trading.

The company, which floated on the Australian Securities Exchange in late 2021 at $1.70 per share, reported an 880 per cent increase in annual net profit to $191.2 million from the $19.5 million it earned in the year-earlier period.
