Spotless ditches its sports and events catering services

Downer EDI’s Spotless business will stop selling meat pies and beers at sports stadiums and has put its remaining hospitality contracts on the block after losing the jewel in its catering crown, the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Spotless, which has been serving hot chips and hot dogs at the MCG for 43 years, will cease working at the cricket ground in April, when services will shift to the New York-headquartered global group, Delaware North.
