Southern Cross Electrical Engineering has delivered a strong interim result with revenue growth of nearly 80 per cent compared with the previous corresponding period. Net profit of $5.1 million was a big improvement on the $4.8 million loss that was incurred in the six months to December 31, 2010.

The interim result also provided confidence the company was continuing the turnaround it began in the second half of 2010-11 when it recorded a net profit of $3.1 million. As at December 31, 2011, the company’s order book stood at $82 million with the majority of work expected to be completed in 2011-12.
