No travel bubble for Australia's 'elimination' states, says NZ airport
A travel bubble between New Zealand and Australian states that have eliminated COVID-19 is unlikely, Auckland Airport chief executive Adrian Littlewood said as the ASX-listed group reported a 63 per cent slide in annual net profit to $NZ193.9 million.
While a travel bubble between all of Australia and all of New Zealand would make "a massive contribution" to the airport's business, it was unlikely that people from states such as Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, which do not have much community transmission of the virus, would be allowed to fly across the Tasman before people in NSW and Victoria, Mr Littlewood said.
