London | Climate activist Greta Thunberg has taken aim at the expansion plans of one of Macquarie’s British airports, joining an Extinction Rebellion protest outside Farnborough Airport south of London.
Farnborough, which mostly hosts private-jet traffic, is looking to increase the number of flights by 40 per cent to 70,000 a year and to host heavier aircraft. The local council will consider the plans in March.
