Canberra Airport calls on Qld to accept 'COVID-19 free' flights
Canberra Airport has called on the Queensland premier to allow flights between the ACT and Brisbane without forcing people into quarantine, arguing the territory is "not a COVID-19 hot spot" and air travel would help boost tourism and jobs.
Canberra Airport chief Stephen Byron has written to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to suggest restarting domestic flights between Canberra and Brisbane, proposing that ACT residents be allowed to visit without having to go into a 14-day quarantine period. The ACT has not reported any new cases of the virus for two weeks.
