Downer EDI has secured 80.3 per cent of Spotless, bringing the contactor over the crucial 75 per cent mark that enables it to attempt to delist the services group.
Downer said on Friday that it would seek to have Spotless removed from the Australian Securities Exchange after the offer closed if number of Spotless shareholders remaining was less than that required by the exchange to maintain a listing.
