Downer EDI investors hopeful the worst is over

Top Downer EDI investors who have met with the contractor’s new chief executive and acting chairman are hopeful that it is close to “maximum negativity”, but warn it will take time to fully regain investors’ confidence.
More than half a dozen of Downer’s biggest shareholders are understood to have met with new CEO Peter Tompkins and acting chairman Mark Menhinnitt on Tuesday.
