Crown design is elegant says Barangaroo architect Chris Wilkinson
Sydney has to use height to compete with other global cities rather than sprawl out further, Michael Bleby reveals.
Chris Wilkinson, the architect of Crown's hotel and casino development at Barangaroo, has shrugged off criticism that the proposed 275 metre-tower is too tall or out of place, saying that Sydney has to use height to compete with other global cities.
The London-based Mr Wilkinson, whose firm specialises in building tall towers, also said Crown's proposal was only 'medium' in height and that shortening would not make much difference overall.
