Cleanaway takes $4m-a-month hit from lockdown

Australia’s biggest rubbish collection company Cleanaway says the Sydney lockdown is punching a $4 million hole in its earnings each month.
The company said on Friday it had embarked on a cost-cutting blitz, clamping down on discretionary spending, asking staff to run down annual leave balances and putting some trucks on idle.
