Cimic jumps on renewable energy bandwagon

Australia’s biggest construction group wants to boost profit margins by targeting renewable energy and technology projects in addition to its bread and butter work building roads, railways and tunnels, chief executive Juan Santamaria says.

Mr Santamaria said he believed that Cimic’s current profit margins were stable but that it wanted to “get into new initiatives, especially around new energy, around ESG opportunities, around services, around technology”.
