Cardno's Aussie margins hurt on big project misses, urban slowdown

Engineering consultancy Cardno says local margins have been hurt amid a slowdown in urban development in Australia, along with it swinging and missing on bids for big projects.
The Brisbane-based infrastructure specialist, with more than 6400 staff globally, says it is taking steps to improve the situation. Business in North America and underlying earnings had also improved, Cardno said.
