Atlas Arteria hit with big protest vote, keeps PwC as auditor

Atlas Arteria, the Australian-listed operator of toll roads in Europe and North America, has suffered a 51.25 per cent vote against its remuneration report, incurring a first strike as shareholders protested against the company’s strategy.

Investors have been particularly frustrated about the $3 billion purchase of a large stake in the Chicago Skyway in the US last year, and an equity raising at a substantial discount.
