AFIC ‘reluctant’ seller but accepts Sydney Airport bid’s fate

One of Sydney Airport’s biggest institutional investors, the Australian Foundation Investment Company, is a “very reluctant seller” of Sydney Airport’s shares but is resigned to the $23.6 billion takeover proceeding.

The ASX-listed investment group, which invests in Australian and New Zealand equities, has been one of Sydney Airport’s top 20 shareholders, holding more than 21 million shares at the end of December.
