Wesfarmers names head of API after CEO steps down
The new boss of Wesfarmers’ health division, Emily Amos, is now in charge of running its only asset, Australian Pharmaceutical Industries (API), after long-time chief executive Richard Vincent stepped down.
The Western Australia-based conglomerate, which holds Kmart and Bunnings in its brand stable, took formal control of the owner of the Priceline pharmacy chain on March 31. This marked the beginning of its planned $10 billion push into healthcare.
