Regis underpays staff by up to $40m

Regis Healthcare has joined a growing list of companies that underpaid staff over the past six years, putting its underpayment bill at between $30 million and $40 million and warning it will reduce its 2021 financial year earnings.

The stock tumbled as much as 7.38 per cent before settling Monday 12¢ lower at $1.98 each after the aged care services group flagging potential underpayments of employee entitlements to certain current and former employees under enterprise agreements.
