Pacific Smiles shuts 76 dental surgeries, strikes on rent
The largest of the ASX-listed dental companies, Pacific Smiles Group, is temporarily shutting 76 of its 93 dental surgeries and standing down most of its staff because of tighter government restrictions in the coronavirus pandemic.
Pacific Smiles will keep 17 of its centres open, but chief exective Phil McKenzie said it is possible that they will also close in the coming weeks. The group operates 34 practices in NSW, 26 in Victoria, 18 in Queensland and five in the ACT.
