Botox prices jump but vanity is inflation proof
Silk Laser Australia, which runs 127 outlets around Australia doing cosmetic injections and beauty treatments, says demand has been strong in July and August even though it lifted prices at the start of the new fiscal year by up to 8 per cent to claw back inflation.
Chief executive Martin Perelman said like-for-like sales rose 5 per cent since July 1, which showed good grooming was considered a priority for customers even as household bills rose and interest rates climbed.
