Blackmores CEO says $200m in daigou sales gone from industry

The chief executive of Australia’s largest vitamins group, Blackmores, says it’s unlikely that all of the $200 million in retail sales across the industry that disappeared as the daigou trade to China slumped will eventually return.

Alastair Symington said on Thursday that even when international borders do open up again, the size of the daigou trade would be lower because of the severe disruptions which had taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
