Petsec Energy Ltd says tighter regulations in the United States' Gulf of Mexico in the wake of the BP oil spill will cause delays to Petsec's oil and gas projects and push up costs.
Compounding the US-focused firms's woes was a production interruption in the June quarter caused by a spill from an onshore pipeline that transports its product, which resulted in the shut-in of Petsec's Main Pass 270 field.
