The Star faces higher wages bill as COVID-19 bites

Star Entertainment Group is facing a bigger wage bill as staff and more expensive contractors are called upon to cover overtime shifts for COVID-19 related absences amid the labour shortage.
The Star is also bracing for over 1000 workers compensation claims in NSW, lodged by employees who caught COVID-19 at the company’s flagship casino in Sydney’s Pyrmont.
