New Crown boss close to tears after grilling
Just five weeks into the job, the CEO stuggled under a merciless grilling at the royal commission.
It was just before 3pm on Tuesday when Crown’s new CEO, Steve McCann, almost broke down in tears.
McCann waved off the need for a break but Commissioner Ray Finkelstein, QC, mercifully ordered one anyway. McCann had been on the stand for more than two hours and Meg O’Sullivan, counsel assisting Victoria’s royal commission into Crown Melbourne, had shown him no mercy.
