Tabcorp eyes inflation threat, hopes for spending boost

Wagering giant Tabcorp says rising inflation is potentially the “major threat” to its purse if higher bills force customers to pull back on discretionary spending such as betting.

But Melbourne-based Tabcorp also says low employment rates should help put more money back into people’s pockets, which then cycles through to spending on its products.
