Ed Craven, the Australian billionaire behind the Stake.com cryptocurrency casino, and his business partner have quietly built a stake in ASX-listed online bookmaker PointsBet in an attempt to establish a foothold on the local wagering market.

Mr Craven and his business partner, Bijan Tehrani suggested late last year that they planned to diversify assets and enter the legal Australian gambling market.
