Metaverse player Animoca Brands releases unaudited numbers

Accustomed to issuing only good news from the metaverse, crypto gaming group Animoca Brands has given its investors some more traditional updates in the past week: unaudited financials for the nine months to September and a notice of annual meeting that discloses plans to replace its auditor.

The release of the unaudited financials has been keenly awaited by the former ASX-listed group’s 2500 investors and is seen as an early step in cleaning up the company ahead of any potential sharemarket listing. The company last updated investors with unaudited accounts for the 10 months ended October 2020.
