Jumbo flags fresh takeover push
Jumbo Interactive has lobbed a £5 million ($9.1 million) bid for a UK-based charity lottery business as part of a push to expand its software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, "Powered by Jumbo", into new markets.
The acquisition of Gatherwell, which was announced to the market on Tuesday, is still subject to regulatory approvals but Jumbo chief Mike Veverka called the process a "paperwork issue" as the pair entered a share purchase agreement.
