Rich Lister Bruce Mathieson and his pubs and pokies partner Woolworths have enjoyed a big year for their joint venture ALH.

The partnership has been a success since a chance meeting at Sydney's 2000 Olympics between Mathieson and then Woolies boss, Roger Corbett, led to the pair joining forces.
