The Finkelstein Inquiry will weigh on Crown’s share price for years as the special manager is set to clamp down on “disgraceful” activity that fuelled higher turnover on the gaming floors, as the clock ticks on James Packer to sell down his stake.

Former Victorian gaming minister Tony Robinson said Crown’s profitability will take a permanent hit because stifling money laundering and tackling responsible gambling will dent revenue churned through its lucrative poker machines.
