Casino regulators clear way for Bruce Mathieson to buy up more of Star

Casino regulators in NSW and Queensland have paved the way for billionaire businessman Bruce Mathieson to increase his foothold in Star Entertainment, ruling the publican can own more than 10 per cent of the casino group.

Liquor and Gaming NSW spent a year deciding whether Investment Holdings, owned by Mr Mathieson and Ross Blair-Holt, would be granted probity, a requirement for people wanting to invest more than 10 per cent in a casino entity.
