Ex Star-CEO Bekier finally steps into the casino probe spotlight
Former Star Entertainment CEO Matt Bekier will this week face the inquiry that cost him his job as the NSW gaming watchdog probes deeper into the casino operator’s money-laundering failures.
Mr Bekier, who resigned last month after the investigation heard evidence of executives disregarding anti-money laundering laws and his own “hostile” response to an adverse KPMG report on the issues, will headline the hearings. Star’s chief financial officer, Harry Theodore, will also take the stand.
