AMEC, the London-based engineering group, has cast aside WorleyParsons as a potential merger partner as it prepares to use its $3.6 billion purchase of FosterWheeler to expand globally.
AMEC chief executive Samir Brikho told The Australian Financial Review that there was no longer “much value" in considering a deal with WorleyParsons because FosterWheeler, headquartered in Switzerland, would boost the UK company’s growth.
