Virus credit cards attract up to 20pc interest

Banks are split over how to treat pandemic-hit credit card customers, with some waiving interest while others leave customers to chalk up interest at rates of more than 20 per cent.

The responses have not impressed a key consumer group and contrast with the banks' government-prompted “Team Australia” relief packages on home and business loans.
