Small mining float draws big names
Political persuasion is no obstacle when it comes to investing in iron ore miners that have prospects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
It was only a $7 million float, but there’s an all-star cast behind Winmar Resources, the junior iron ore explorer named after St Kilda AFL great Nicky Winmar that will start trading on the Australian Securities Exchange today.
In the chairman’s seat is Albert Wong , who together with Andrew Forrest ran stockbroking firm Intersuisse in the 1980s.
