New Eclipx CEO says industry is crowded

The chief executive of car leasing company Eclipx Group says the marketplace is too crowded in Australia in his industry, and a serious bout of consolidation needs to happen.

Julian Russell, who took the helm of Eclipx in May and is steadily simplifying the business in a back-to-basics approach which includes asset sales of non-core operations, said on Wednesday that Australia had six sizeable entities competing, too many for a country of 25 million people.
