Equity raisings from junior and mid-tier miners fell sharply in February, in a poor sign for drilling and testing companies ALS Ltd and Boart Longyear .
According to UBS’s monthly mining equity raisings review, junior and mid-tier miners undertook 66 raisings worth only $US101 million in February. The value raised was 76 per cent down on the same time last year and 70 per cent less than January.
