Link to sell UK unit that wrecked $2.5b takeover
Link Group is looking to sell the troublesome British business Link Fund Solutions whose mounting liabilities over a Woodford retail fund collapse in Britain caused a full $2.5 billion takeover to be pulled three weeks ago by Canadian company Dye & Durham.
Link said on Thursday “it intends to commence a process to explore divestment options for the Link Funds Solutions business” and had hired investment banks Macquarie and UBS to run the process.
