Australia Post chairman John Stanhope has defended Ahmed Fahour's legacy at the government-owned logistics company, as the focus intensifies on Mr Fahour amid the wreckage of the failed $3.2 billion Latitude Financial float.
But Mr Stanhope, who was chairman while Mr Fahour ran Australia Post but didn't hire him, said Mr Fahour's public profile meant he also attracted plenty of scrutiny.
