IAG cuts its catastrophe reinsurance

IAG has finalised its 2018 catastrophe reinsurance program, cutting its catastrophe cover on the back of its quota share arrangement with three global reinsurers.
The listed insurer's new program, which started on January 1, has seen its gross main cover for a so-called "first catastrophe event" drop by $970 million to $5.23 billion.
