IAG, Airtasker deal has data-sharing component
Insurance Australia Group's investment into Airtasker is helping the peer-to-peer platform expand into the United Kingdom, but a data-sharing agreement between the two businesses may prove to be the most lucrative part of the deal.
IAG's chief customer officer Julie Batch said the investment - which came from the insurer's $75 million venturing fund, Firemark Ventures - was not designed to be simply a "passive" investment.
