Billionaire hedge fund manager Michael Hintze has had a bumper year, according to financial documents recently lodged by his London firm CQS.

The Financial Review Rich Lister is famous in the investment world for his close consideration of what effect geopolitical shocks have on markets, as the 220 staff at CQS sift through reams of information each day looking for discrepancies and clues to where prices will head for assets ranging from commodities to currencies to corporate credit.
