The head of Mike Cannon-Brookes’ private Grok Ventures says wealthy American families are “really interested” in backing the $40 billion Sun Cable project, which will supply Northern Territory solar power to Singapore.

Tan Kueh, a former Macquarie and BlackRock investor, said she had been in the United States drumming up support for the project and for a broader pivot to open up the billionaire Atlassian co-founder’s family office to outside investors.
